About Us

What happens at a normal meeting?

Many get there a little early for a coffee, donuts, and to hang out with the guys. We generally start just after 8 am with any announcements and see if anyone has prayer requests. Then we pray and dive into our subject for the day. We normally have a printout to go with the subject of the day. After we have reviewed the printout and reviewed the scripture presented with it, we have an open discussion about it. Many of the group will add their experience, knowledge, and/or testimony to the discussion. We close the group at 9 am we will close out the meeting with a prayer. We encourage the group to go out and attend a local Bible-based church.

Hebrews 10:24-25 (ESV): “And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

We are not directly affiliated with any local church. We do have attendees that also attend local Baptist, Methodist, Assembly of God, Cowboy, and Non-denominational churches.

Matthew 18:20 (ESV) “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”

NO! Absolutely not. You will never be asked. There is no offering plate. No box in the back of the room. We don’t even have a bank account anyway. All our supplies and facility uses have been donated by friends of our group.

The topics presented and discussed in the group are from requests of the group. If a subject interests one of us, we asked that it be used as a topic one week. Regularly different people will bring content for the subject and present it. We often use GotQuestions.org to find discussion material.

GotQuestions.org is an online ministry website devoted to helping people find answers to their Bible questions and give Biblical advice for the spiritual issues people face.

Come join us. We meet in the old Central Baptist Church’s fellowship hall behind Allen’s Texaco and Express Lube. We always have coffee and donuts available. Come 15 minutes early, if you like, and hangout!
